Introduction

For the past 9 years I have been designing for both print and online, working across a variety of sectors, initially, as part of a design company and now,as a self-employed Art Director/Graphic Designer.

With such a wide variety of client-types – from artists to national institutions through to contract publishers – I have developed a coherent, multi-layered approach to design problems rather than off-the-shelf solutions. Central to my approach is developing design from the content by identifying a visual code/metaphor. I understand the benefits of creative leadership, discipline and strong ideas. I am experienced in all aspects of the production process, managing budgets and the creative output of freelance or in-house creatives.

I am looking for a role that demands a creative edge, typographic precision and a conceptual approach. At this stage in my career, I want to consolidate and share what I already know and develop my craft as a well-rounded creative problem-solver and visual communicator (in any media the brief demands).
